Getting Started Sensor Settings

Quick start settings:

  •       Insert 6 AA batteries and turn the sensor on by pushing the switch on the back of the board towards the middle.
  •       The LED will flash to indicate the battery voltage before starting to indicate motion. Note that the LED is disabled after 5 minutes.
  •       Push all six switches on the front of the board to the Off position.
  •       Set the top dial to somewhere in the middle for medium sensitivity. Use a 2mm hex key to turn the dial.
  •       Set the middle dial to somewhere in the middle so that your camera will take approximately 1 shot every 4 seconds when motion is detected.
  •       Turn the bottom dial fully anticlockwise (when you are viewing the sensor from the front – that is the side with the white sensor dome) so that the PIR will work during the day and at night.
  •       Connect your camera via the socket on the bottom of the board.

The bank of switches and dials allow you customise the behaviour of the sensor. Please read the full manual for details.
